These patterns work best on a practical level when worked up in cotton yarns. I would suggest Dishie cotton or Lionbrand 24/7 Cotton. I used 1 skein of Lionbrand 24/7 in succulent for each placemat. One skein will make approximately 9 coasters.

My placemat was approximately 16” wide and 13” tall unblocked.
The coaster is approx 5” square unblocked.
