Ravelry’s new site redesign has been causing serious problems for some users, me included (migraines, seizures, vision issues, etc). To this day, Ravelry had responded poorly and refuses to acknowledge or address these issues, other than saying that people are lying.

If you prefer not to support this ableism, this pattern can also be purchased directly from my PayHip store, with no fees going to Ravelry.link above**

Autumn is my favorite time of the year. The scent of frost in the mornings, the glorious change of colors on the trees - the goldens of the Aspens and Larches, the brilliant reds of the Maple trees and Huckleberry bushes - bring comfort to my mind and heart.
As fall approaches I am looking forward the multitude of leaves changing their colors and gently falling to the ground.

I designed this shawl so I can wrap myself in layers of Autumn, even after the leaves have gone.

Pattern is written to be worked in a light fingering weight yarn. However notes are given to work a smaller version in a sock weight/fingering weight yarn or a larger size out of a lace weight yarn.

Sizes:
Sample is med: 87” long x 50” deep (221cm x 126cm)

Gauge:
24 sts x 48 rows = 4” (10cm) in garter, blocked
2 reps (22 sts x 48 rows) = 4” (10cm) of edge leaves, blocked
Gauge is not critical, but will affect size of shawl and yarn amounts needed.

Materials:
Yarns: one hank each of (3) contrasting color in the following weights:
Sm size: 450yds (412m) each of fingering weight yarn
Med size: 650yds (495m) each of light fingering weight yarn
Lg size: 900yds (823m) each of lace weight yarn.
Sample: solstice lumiere lace (80% superwash merino/10% cashmere/10% nylon)
685yds (626m) - 115g skein; or similar light fingering yarn. For med size one hank each of: Color A: Thoroughbred; Color B: Snoqualmie Oatmeal; Color C: Firelight

Notions: US2.5 (3mm) 40” circular needle; (or needle needed to obtain gauge); Note: needle size needs to be adjusted for lace or fingering weight yarn.
