Autumn Grace Stole
This pattern was the winning design in the Cherry Tree Hill Sugar Maple Design Competition. They sell the pattern through their distributors and retailers, and now as a Ravelry download. More information
A stunning garment from a beautifully written pattern with generous charts. This shawl is knitted in two pieces from the middle back out to the edges, and then grafted together, but don’t be nervous. There are fabulously detailed instructions for performing the graft, written specifically for this piece. The lace patterns are Versailles, Ivy Leaf Lace, and the Scrolls pattern from A Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns by the extraordinary Barbara Walker. So as you can see, good judgment, competence, and beauty are represented throughout. The Cascade Lace is actually from Henry’s Attic, then hand-dyed by Cherry Tree Hill.
