Strikkefasthed

Fremgangsmåde
Sjalet strikkes fra nakken midt bag med et sjalsopslag i retriller. Der strikkes i retriller, og der laves udtagninger i siderne og på begge sider af midtermaskerne på alle retsidepinde. Retrillerne afbrydes af hulrækker og lacemønster og slutter med en bred bort i lacemønster.
Den afsluttende brede bort i lacemønster er beskrevet i både diagram og tekst.

Optionally in 2 different colors: 2 balls for the main color and 2 balls for the pattern/lace color.
Yarn B: Filcolana, Alva (100% alpaca, 175 m per 25 g / 191 yds per 0.88 oz) = 75 g / 2.64 oz. 3 balls.
Note on yarn usage: Work with 1 strand of Yarn A (Filcolana Tilia) in the garter stitch sections, and 2 strands held together (1 strand of Yarn A and 1 strand of Yarn B - Filcolana Tilia and Alva) in the pattern/lace sections.
The Aurora shawl can be knitted in a single solid color or “striped” by using contrasting colors for the main body and the pattern sections.

Procedure
The shawl is worked from the center back of the neck down, beginning with a garter stitch shawl tab cast-on. The main body is worked in garter stitch, with increases worked at each side and on both sides of the center stitches on all right-side (RS) rows. The garter stitch sections are interspersed with eyelet rows and lace patterns, finishing with a wide lace border. The final wide lace border is provided in both chart and written instructions.
