Aunt Bernadene was named after a dear aunt of mine who passed away. She was a knitter as well and I thought creating something in her name that was cheery and sweet would be a wonderful way to remember her.

This shawl is an easy knit, great for all levels of experience. The yarn used in the sample is a fun self-striping one, and its big tassels add a charming bit of personality to it.

NOTE: If you wish to add the optional tassels, I recommend removing the amount of yarn necessary prior to beginning to make them, that way you know you’ll have enough. See pattern for more information.

You’ll use nearly all of the 1 ball of Colorburst required for the shawl if you include the tassels. The colorway used in the sample is called Piquant.
