At first a few increases, then some straightforward knitting, and finally a bunch of blissful decreases. It is as simple as that to make this headband, which has echoes from the 1950s.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS

Width: 3.25” / 8.5 cm.
Both the length and width of the headband are easily adjustable, if needed.
MATERIALS
Yarn: 1 skein of Acadia by The Fibre Co. (60% merino, 20% baby alpaca, 20% silk, 145 yds / 133 m – 50 g), colourway Sand.
1 ball of Sensai by Ito (60% mohair, 40% silk, 262 yds/ 240 m – 20 g), colourway String.
The headband is worked holding both yarns together. If you decide to use another yarn, you will need approx. 58 yds / 53 m of DK-weight yarn and approx. 66 yds / 60 m of lace-weight yarn.

CONSTRUCTION
The headband is knitted flat in Garter Stitch. The tapered ends are shaped with increases (at the beginning) and decreases (at the end). Wear it by knotting the ends together.
