NOTES
Read through the entire pattern before you begin knitting.
Atlas is worked in multiple parts both flat and in the round. The Body colorwork chart only goes up to row 86 and is knit using the Intarsia method. You can easily knit the body in one color or your choice of patterning. The color changes are indicated in the chart only and all shaping is shown on the chart as well (you can follow the chart instead of the written directions for this section if you wish). Due to the amount of shaping for the whale, the colors on the chart appear to not line up as they will appear on the finished whale - this can be deceiving, but as long as you follow the chart based on the number of stitches on each row everything will line up properly.
