Astrid: A Doll
Crocheted entirely in Single Crochet stitches and constructed in one piece from the head through the body and (first) leg, this doll is an ideal project for an ambitious beginner.
Made from standard DK acrylic yarn, with a little cotton for her hair, she is inexpensive to make, too.
Skill level: Medium
Materials:
Patons Fab Yarn in DK (or preferred yarn)
Rico Creative Cotton
4mm Crochet hook (or one suitable for the weight of chosen yarn)
11mm Safety eyes
Tapestry needle
Stitch marker
Toy stuffing
Ribbons/ Lace Trim/ buttons
Pipe cleaners to style braids (optional)
Astrrid is crocheted in a continuous spiral of stitches in a style called amigurumi.
The pattern is written in English.
You’ll need to know how to make a single crochet stitch (US) or double crochet (UK).
Instructions for making the ‘single crochet 2 together’ are given.
The finished doll measures approx 54 cms
