Highlights
Aspetuck is a cowl worked in the round from the lower edge to the neckline. The stranded colorwork uses four colors of worsted weight yarn to highlight the diamond motifs that are repeated for a balanced design, and Latvian Braids for added texture. Aspetuck is recommended to be worn with positive ease of 2 to 10” / 5 to 25 cm.
Sample knit in size 1 for designer with 34” / 86 cm bust.
Skills
Work in the round, knit, purl, decrease, Latvian Braid, two stranded color work, following chart or written directions.

Needles
US 7 (4.5 mm) or size to achieve gauge for color work
Length: 16”, 24”, 32” / 40 cm, 60 cm, 80 cm circular (depending on size)
Gauge
20 stitches and 24 rounds = 4” / 10 cm on US 7 (4.5 mm) repeating Rows 1-8 of Chart C 3 times over 20 sts in the rnd.
Swatch in the round is worked flat by having long carries in the back. After Row is finished, instead of turning work to purl, slide work to the right, and carry the yarn in the back, allowing all stitches to be knit for a more accurate swatch. For help, please refer to the video on How to Swatch in the Round.
