Aspens Cardigan
This women’s fingering-weight cardigan, part of the larger book collection, Free Spirit Knits, is knit from the bottom hem up in pieces, and then seamed. The front edges and set-in sleeves have a panel of lace leaf motifs, and the back of the cardigan also features a wide panel of lace in the same motif. There is subtle waist shaping for a feminine, slightly trim fit.
Available sizes are: 34 1/4 (36, 38 1/4, 40 1/2, 44 3/4, 49, 53)“ or 67 (91.5, 97, 103, 113.5, 124.5, 134.5) cm bust circumference. The sample shown is size 36” with approximately 2” of positive ease.
Yarn requirements: 5 (5, 5, 6, 6, 7, 7) skeins of Brooklyn Tweed Loft.
Note that the lace patterns are presented in chart-form only.
This pattern is available as part of a print book or as a digital edition.
Inspiration: This is my Taos Sheep and Wool Festival sweater. It’s an annual trip I take every year in early October, and as soon as I start to see the golden colors of the aspen groves across the valley on the mountain peaks, I know it’s time to start planning my trip to the festival!
