Aspens Asymmetric Shawl
This pattern is included in my new book, Cozy Cables. You can purchase the printed book here.
The Aspens Asymmetric Shawl conjures memories of long walks through a snow-covered forest and meandering stony paths alongside the river’s edge. A wide center panel shows off a beautiful and intriguing cable pattern. Two columns of simple honeycomb stitch sandwich the main cable, with long bands of slipped stitches surrounding it. The cable design slowly emerges from the narrow end of this asymmetric shawl and reveals its full beauty at the widest end. A simple rib stitch finishes off the edge. This pattern is charted and includes written instructions.
CONSTRUCTION
This shawl is worked back and forth on long circular needles, from the narrowest edge to the widest.
Note: All slipped stitches are slipped purlwise with the yarn in back.
