Asopo
Asopo was a river goddess whose name means “never silent.” It may also mean “clever in all ways.”
The Asopo cardigan has a boxy and relaxed fit that is effortless to wear and style in many different ways. The cardigan is knitted seamlessly top down. The shoulders are sloped and worked by increasing stitches along the back shoulder line.
The fronts and back are knitted separately until the underarm, after which the pieces are joined and worked seamlessly down to the hem. Lastly, stitches are picked up around the sleeve openings and the sleeves are worked in the round. There is a simple cable pattern on the sleeves. The cardigan comes in two versions, a short, cropped version and a longer version which also has pockets and a belt.
You can easily try the cardigan on as you knit it and adjust the measurements to your own body measurements.
