These mitts coordinate with my Aslaug Socks and Aslaug Hat patterns, which are inspired by one of Viking Ragnar Lothbrok’s wives, the Princess Aslaug. The pattern features a strong lace panel centered on the forearm and back of the hand, plus a bit of stockinette and areas of ribbing.

Three sizes are given, although the small should fit most teen or women’s hands. (The main pattern photo shows the smallest size.) Note that the openness of the lace along with ribbing give a wide range of stretch.

These mitts were designed to use 50 grams/200 yds of yarn with the specified arm length. A 100 gram skein of fingering weight yarn should be able to knit these mitts plus the matching hat!
