I couldn’t resist making a cable patterned cushion cover from the gorgeous soft BlueFaced Leicester yarn that I picked up from the West Yorkshire Spinners.

I wanted a pattern that I could easily remember, that I could pick up and knit anywhere without looking back at my pattern, without keeping track of row counts and that’s what I managed to do with this pattern.
Once you have knit the first 8 rows , it is pretty straight forward.

I backed the cushion with some pretty heavy linen fabric but you can choose fabric that matches your own decor or knit a plain reverse stocking stitch back. This is a cosy home accessory.
