Asgard
Worked from the top down this gorgeous Viking inspired cardigan has a Vikkel braid motif and a textured edging finished with an I-cord bind off. The cardigan is constructed all on one piece from the top down using raglan increases. The cardigan can be worked in one or two colours.
Yarn: 100 (100, 150, 150, 200)g DK yarn for MC; 100 (100, 150, 150, 200)g DK yarn (225m/100g) for MC; 20 (20, 30, 30, 40)g of contrasting colour DK yarn for CC.
OR: 120 (120, 150, 170, 220)g for single colour version.

A Little Bit Sheepish British Bluefaced Leicester double knit in “Vulcan” (MC) and “Ceres” (CC); 100% wool; 225m/100g.

Needles: 4.5 mm circular needle for working flat and in the round, 80 cm length suggested.
4.0 mm circular needle for working in the round, 100 cm length suggested.
Optional- set of 4.5 mm and set of 4.0 mm double pointed needles for in the round on a small circumference.
Notions: Tapestry needle, stitch markers, waste yarn for holding stitches, 3 (3, 3, 4, 4) 15 mm buttons, 50 cm grosgrain ribbon, corresponding thread and sewing needle (optional).
Skills: Cast on, working flat, knit, purl, increasing stitches, Vikkel braid (instructions given), I-cord bind off (instructions given), working in the round, weaving in ends, attaching grosgrain ribbon (instructions given).
Sizing: Pattern gives stitch counts for 3 (6, 12, 18, 24) months; approximately equivalent to 40.5 (43, 45.5, 48, 50.5) cm chest circumference. The pattern has 7.5 (7.5, 7.5, 10, 10) cm ease to allow for ease of dressing and a comfy fit over clothing
Errata:
Version one of this pattern had incorrect figures for the cast on. Correct values are 42 (44, 44, 50, 50).
