Ascutney Pullover
There is no intarsia in this pattern. May I repeat that? There is NO intarsia in this pattern – it’s all done with short rows! The body and sleeves of this pullover are worked as separate pieces, back and forth in rows. The fit of this pullover is very forgiving – I like it a little oversized, like a cropped sweatshirt that pairs equally well with dresses and skirts as it does with jeans, but it would work just as well with zero or even a little negative ease (for a super 70’s vintage look). It all depends on your personal style.
For this reason, the best way to add length to this pullover is do so after all the short rows have been completed when you are working just with C3 (the main color) before beginning the yoke. For a twist you could also add rows in C1 before you begin the short row section. It’s always best to review the schematic carefully before you begin knitting to plan out any length changes you may want to make.
