Asamoya
朝靄 Asamoya : Japanese for (n) morning mist. The softest of yarn, the softest of mist as a new day dawns.
This striking pullover utilises seamless top down construction, knit in reverse stocking stitch, with generous ribbed cuffs and waist band. The unique deep cowl neckline is a striking design feature with tailoring and waist shaping to create a beautiful elongated silhouette.
Construction Notes
Body is cast on at the neck and knit back and forth from the top down to the waist with a scoop/cowl neck with side and back waist shaping.
Model A is then worked in the round to hem.
Model B is worked back and forth to the hem.
Full length sleeves are worked in the round from armhole to cuff.
Work with two strands of yarn held together throughout (1 thread of Yarn A is held together with 1 thread of Yarn B).
This garment is worked in Reverse Stocking/Stockinette stitch on WS for ease of knitting. WS is ‘smooth knit’ side. RS is ‘bumpy purls’ side.
