Art deco is a sweet little hat that I have designed using my new yarn (coming out on Sunday 15th).

This squishy yarn comes from a French breed called “Avranchine”. The little flock of sheep is organically raised in the pastures of Britanny by a passionnate farmer.
The fleece is sent to a mill in France where it is minimally processed, allowing the yarn to keep its original characteristics. The skeins are then natutally dyed by me with seasonnal plants, making each one of them unique.

I wanted to create a pattern that would work “hand in hand” with this beautiful yarn. The eyelets and twisted stitches in this very “art deco” stitch pattern not only enhance the color variation of the naturally dyed yarn but also create a very original texture.
