A soft case for a pillow with abstract applique swoopy tentacle shapes. Fits a 14” (35.5cm) or smaller square pillow.

Worked in the round on the bias from one corner, increasing to a wide point and then decreasing again to the final corner. Stitches are then picked up around the border to create the edging and buttonhole flap.

Appliques are knit separately and sewn on, either around the entire edge of the shape or leaving some spaces to let the shape roll a bit, creating a 3D effect.
