In Greek mythology, Ariadne used a ball of string to show Theseus the way out of the Minotaur’s maze. Modern knitters know the power of string – especially when it is a luxurious combination of wool and bamboo!

Here, we reunite some of our favorite elements – Woobu, ribbing, and an angled front – and recombine them in a center-out construction in which lines of 1x1 ribbing at the neckline emerge into K3, P1 and then disappear again down the top of the sleeve.

It’s a fascinating journey of merging and emerging. Where will it lead you?

For construction purposes after knitting, you will also need:

• Two additional 24” (60cm) or longer circular needles, in a size smaller than gauge needle (for back and side seams)
• Two double-pointed needles in size used for gauge, for I-cord button loop
• One gorgeous button, placed where necessary for most flattering closure!
