Size: Using needles to match gauge with dk weight yarn yields a hat that is 19” unstretched circumference, and is 8.25”
unstretched height which fits most adult
heads. If you want a larger hat, use worsted
weight yarn, with size 7 (4.5 mm) needle.
That will produce a hat of 22” unstretched
circumference, and a height of approximately
9.5 inches.

Needles: Straight needles are recommended. Using one circular needle to knit back and forth is not recommended. The cable will interfere with the hanging bobbins. If preferred, two 16” circular
needles can be used as “straight” needles.
