This is a great way to try a fairisle pattern if you have not tried this style of knitting before. As a cushion has no shaping you can concentrate on the pattern alone. Also the back is much simpler!
As with all fairisle kitting the trick is to not pull the yarn you are stranding behind too tightly across the back.
