Arco Iris means Rainbow
There are different approaches to sweater design. Sometimes, I choose a yarn that will allow me to showcase a certain stitch pattern or special feature… Other times I work out a pattern that will let the yarn have its own show. This yarn deserved the latter!
SIZES
1 (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10).
Recommended to be worn with no ease or with a little bit of negative ease. Shown in size 3 on a 36” 90 cm bust.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Bust circumference: 29½ (32, 36, 40, 44, 48, 52, 56, 60, 64)“ 74 (80. 90, 100, 110, 120, 130, 140, 150, 160) cm.
Yoke Depth: 6 (6½, 7¼, 7¾, 8¾, 9, 9½, 10¼, 10½, 11)” 15 (16.5, 18, 19.5, 22, 22.5, 24, 25.5, 26.5, 27.5) cm.
Sleeve circumference at upper arm: 10 (10¾, 12, 13¼, 14½, 15½, 17¼, 18½, 19¼, 20)“ 25 (27, 30, 33, 36, 39, 43, 46, 48, 50) cm.
MATERIALS
Yarn: 3 (4, 4, 5, 5, 6, 6, 7, 7, 8) skeins of Soybean by LolaBean Yarn Co (100% merino; 231 yds 211 m / 100g) or 646 (740, 830, 924, 1040, 1200, 1316, 1432, 1548, 1732) yards 590 (675, 760, 844, 950, 1097, 1202, 1308, 1413, 1582) m of DK weight yarn.
The sample was made using colorway Electric Youth.
Needles: US 6 4 mm and US 4 3.5 mm circular needles.
Other notions: Stitch markers, cable needle, stitch holders (or waste yarn), tapestry needle.
GAUGE
20 st and 29 rows to 4” 10 cm in Stockinette st on US 6 4 mm needles.
