Archipelago Cocoon Wrap
Archipelago is a modern wrap that fits somewhere between a shrug and a cocoon. It’s loose-fitting with generous, flexible ease and can be slipped over just about anything for a show-stopping final layer. To be honest, its origin was a bit of a surprise; a miscalculation led to a different width/length ratio than I first anticipated. It was a happy accident, though, as the result is one of my most beloved pieces in this collection.
Archipelago is knit in one piece from side to side, with a chunky cable along the top edge (to provide support across the shoulders). The simple i-cord edges are worked as you go, and the body is joined by adding ribbing around the sleeves.
