Texture & lace. An arboretum is a botanical garden devoted to trees, often with a purpose: -Learning!
With gardening, experience comes with practise. It’s the same with knitting. The more we try, the deeper we want to grow our knowledge like the roots of the trees.

In the early 1900’s in Sweden it was popular to try to grow one tree of each domestic species and spice it all up with a few more exotic ones. I have one of those gardens from the 1920’s, my garden is an arboretum.

This lace sock pattern is knitted toe-up. The pattern is explicitly written for size 37/38/39 and normal width but it is easily adapted by adding or deducting stitches, just account for stitch numbering changes. The length is even easier to adjust, just knit until it fits using the table as guidance. If you want a slightly tighter sock using this pattern as is, just go down in needle size but account for the heel which will become shorter since the length gauge is also affected. The length of the toe can be used to measure the heel length.
