Aran Lace Stole
by Kieran Foley
An intermediate lace pattern inspired by Aran knots and bobbles.
All rows are knit, with yarn overs & decreases on most rows. The “bobbles” are formed using triple yarn overs. The end and center knots can be extended to make a longer stole. The techniques and chart symbols are described here.
The sample was made with Elann Baby Lace Merino on 2.25mm/US 1 needles.
Yardage: Approx. 800-900 yards (730-820 metres), 1.5 skeins.
Finished dimensions: 16x50 in (41x127cm).
The pdf also contains charts for a variation on the design.
Please read the Terms and Conditions applicable to knit/lab pattern purchases before purchasing this pattern. The T&C can be viewed here.
