The Aran Bobble Bag combines elements of classic Aran knitting and the cottagecore style in a quick knit, full of interest throughout. It features a charming cabled diamond on both sides, with four bobbles contained within, flanked by two rope cables on either side, twisting in opposite directions. This design comes in two bag sizes (smallest size is paperback book sized; large bag is A4 sized). I personally have found the smaller size perfect for holding a phone, cards/wallet and a small amount of personal items for a night out. It can be worn on the wrist since it is nice and soft, or held by the handle.

The bag is worked flat, from base to handles. The handles are simply worked during the pattern, which means little finishing is required – sew up the sides and you’re ready to go!

The bag comes in 2 sizes, Small & Large:
Small: 23cm x 17cm (9” x 6.5”)
Large: 33cm x 25cm (13” x 10”)

Yarn:
Any Aran or worsted weight yarn. Aran and worsted weight yarn can vary considerably in thickness, but if you choose not to work a gauge swatch, you will still end up with a usable bag. If the correct dimensions are important, please knit a gauge swatch, and make any necessary adjustments in needle size. For your reference, the bags pictured have been knit in:

White/Oatmeal Bag: 2 skeins of Yarn Vibes Cliffs of Moher (100% wool, plied) 150g/200m required. Shades pictured are 8000, Sea Spray (cream coloured yarn), and 9069, Sandstone (oat coloured yarn, on reverse side).

Yellow and Brown Bags: 1 skein each of Yarn Vibes Cliffs of Moher (100% wool, plied) 66g/95m required. Shades pictured are 8001, Gorse (yellow coloured yarn) and Basalt (grey/brown coloured yarn).
