The band is doubled for a secure and warm fit, with an unexpected fun pop of color. You only need 33~35 yards for this band color, so if you have any leftover cashmere yarn lying around, this is a great way to use it :)

All the letters are worked with stranded colorwork, with the accent over the E worked with duplicate stitches.

Heavier DK ~ Medium worsted weight yarn

The yardage shown above is a total of all the colors.
Color A - black (base + letter)
Color B - white (base)
Color C - yellow (inside of the band)

Yardage M (L)
Color A - 115 (120) yards
Color B - 42 (45) yards
Color C - 33 (35) yards

The sample (L size) is knitted with Malabrigo Rios (black & white). The inside band is knitted with leftover Tosh Unicorn tails doubled = which is the same as Tosh DK.

NEEDELS
Recommended needle size - US 4 ~5
The gauge is tighter than normal, so please plan to use needles that are 1~2 sizes smaller than the yarn recommends.
