I used the camel stitch for the shell, and then rolled it up, using a few sewing stitches randomly to hold it in place. For the legs and head I used standard shaping techniques to get the look I wanted. I used a drawing by an artist to create this design.

I would say the legs took about 4ozs of yarn but the rest didn’t take much of each color.
