Apollo is a very beginner friendly blanket pattern. The stripe repeats add enough stitch variety to keep you interested, but the pattern is simple to memorize for crocheting in front of the TV. Size is a throw size but you can easily keep repeating the stripe sequence to make it any size you choose.

For the tan and black stripes, I used approximately 1 1/3 skeins, and the red stripe used approximately 2 1/4 skeins. You can make a wider and longer blanket from the same amount of skeins.
