Aoide
Aoide was the muse of song and voice.
The Aoide pullover is knitted seamlessly top down. The sweater is started at the back neck and then increased to the full width of the back. After that, stitches are picked up along the sloped shoulders for the fronts. The pieces are joined at the underarm and the body is then knitted in the round. The sleeve and the neckband stitches are then picked up from the body and worked in the round. The beautiful cable pattern is worked on the front and the back, as well as on the sleeves.
The length of the body and sleeves are easily modified to suit your own body measurements. I recommend trying the sweater on every now and then while working on it to make sure you get the perfect length for your style. Note: You can easily modify the body shorter for a cropped look. For a cropped sweater I would only work 15-20 cm / 6-8 inches for the body.

If you wish to work a worsted weight version, omit all the instructions where it says “hold the yarns together” and follow only the yarn amount requirements for the DK weight yarn.
