Antiquary Poncho
This lacework shawl and be worn as a poncho or a cardigan.
The shawl is constructed of triangular sections. It begins in the round with 4 triangles, then 1 section is bound off for back neck. The remaining 3 triangles are then worked flat with a border stitch and a selvage stitch at the beginning and end of each row.
Chart 1 shows both RS and WS rows; Charts 2 and 3 show RS rows only.
Written instructions for each chart are provided separately at the end of the pattern, along with a list of abbreviations.
Buttons are optional and may be placed as desired when finishing the front edges.
