Annette
This triangular scarf is named after my great grand aunt Annette, who was renowned for her taste for simplicity. Following her preference for simple things, this scarf is worked in garter stitch with a simple touch of color in a slipped stitch stripe pattern.
The originality of this scarf comes from its wide wing span that differentiates it from the more traditional triangular shawls and makes it easier to wear around the neck or over a Fall or Spring coat. It is worked from the top and an attached I-Cord finishes its clean lines. The result is a very fast and rewarding knit, perfect for gift giving and beginner knitters or just for knitters in search of a simple project. Annette can be made in three sizes: the small size is designed to be worn as a
scarf and the medium and large sizes can be worn as a shawl or a large scarf over a Fall or Spring coat.
Finished project should measure:
Width: (from point to point): 44 (58, 70)’’
Length: (from top to bottom): 14 (18, 22)’’
