Anika Shawl
Anika, a freeform style shawl knitted in one piece.
The newly revived Anika shawl.
A super quick to knit shawl that does not disappoint! Asymmetric in shape, with lots of easy to manage lace and eyelets, ever increasing or decreasing, it never gets boring. I have knitted two and the second one you see in the main photos was finished in just one day. I couldn’t stop….
Yarn:
One Layers yarn cake, 200 yards of delectable textures, yarn weights, from lace, fingering, sport, DK, worsted and all in lovely tone on tone colors as well as some more dramatic choices. Two of the featured shawls were knitted From knit kits by www.yarnz2GO.com.
Alternatively:
This project lets your leftover yarns disappear…
200 yards of various weight yarns, from lace, fingering, sport, DK, worsted and even bulky if you like, all in 20 yard portions. The heavier the yarns the more eclectic and cozy your shawl will be. In contrast, the lighter the yarn, the more airy and graceful your shawl will turn out.
Notions:
US size 15 (10mm) needle 29” in length
Gauge:
8 sts and 12 rows in 4” knitted in Stockinette stitch
Experience Level: Advanced Beginner
