Angelique Cardigan
The Angelique cardigan features round yoke with the lace pattern around the neck. The cardigan is worked back and forth top down on circular needles, with German short rows for back neck rise and with waist shaping at the sides of the garment. The sleeves are worked in the round.
Sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4) (5, 6, 7, 8) with finished bust circumference 85 (94, 107, 116) (128, 139, 148, 158) cm / 33.5 (37, 42.25, 45.5) (50.5, 54.75, 58.25, 62)”. Intended to be worn 2 – 12 cm / 1 – 5” of positive ease. The bust circumference measured with the cardigan buttoned up. The sample is shown in size 2, with 5 cm / 2” ease.
Yarn: Drops Brushed Alpaca (77% alpaca 23% silk; 140 m (153 yds)/25 g (0.88 oz)), colour 20 Pink Sand, 120 (132, 140, 153) (166, 183, 192, 200) g / 674 (738, 787, 858) (932, 1026, 1071, 1118) m / 737 (807, 861, 938) (1019, 1128, 1172, 1222) yds.
Needles:
- 4 mm (US size 6) circular needles 60 cm / 24” for neck edge.
- 5 mm (US size 8) circular needles at least 60 cm / 24” for working the yoke and the body.
- 5 mm (US size 8) in your favourite style for knitting in rounds of small diameter, for knitting sleeves (circular needles 25 cm / 10” or double pointed needles or 80 cm / 24” for magic loop technique).
- 4 mm (US size 6) in your favourite style for knitting in rounds of small diameter, for knitting cuffs (circular needles 25 cm / 10” or double pointed needles or 80 cm / 24” for magic loop technique).
