Angel Hair
Angel Hair: Japanese Lace Socks To be sure, Japanese knitting is trending. And for good reason. The stitch-work is intricate, lacy, and different from what we’re all used to knitting. Most of the stitches are familiar to us, but there are some new things to learn, too. An element common to the Japanese knitting designs I have seen is a bas-relief effect, where the design is lifted somewhat higher than the background. Besides being tons of fun to work, this technique really allows the curves, swirls and intricate stitches to stand out. The stitches employed here can be found in the Japanese Knitting Stitch Bible, by Hitomi Shida.
You can tweak the sizing by going up or down a needle size, and by adding or deleting number of rounds worked.)
