And dance
Whether you want to add a splash of colour, or for some extra warmth, legwarmers are an awesome accessory. Sized from baby (perfect for little legs in slings) up to adult, these are a quick knit with colourwork detail to keep the knitting interesting. Made in a fingering weight yarn, choose something luxurious or pick a brightly coloured hardworking sock yarn that can be thrown in the wash before the next dance class.

Gauge: 31 stitches and 34 rows over 10 cm / 4” in colourwork stocking stitch, with larger needles, after blocking.
Sizing: Pattern gives stitch counts for a legwarmer circumference of 15 (18, 20, 23, 26, 28) cm / 6 (7, 7¾, 9, 10¼, 11)”; this approximately equates to baby (child, teen, small adult, adult, large adult). There is some flexibility on the sizing as the legwarmers are designed to be fairly loose. If you prefer a snug fit you may wish to opt for a smaller size but please note there is only a small amount of stretch in colourwork.
You can easily adjust the length of the legwarmer by working more, or fewer, repeats of the chart.
