The cowl is knitted in the round, like a long tube and folded in half to create a double-sided cowl, warm and that holds nicely around the neck. After a provisional cast-on, the color work is knitted, it is the outside face. In keeping with it, the inner face is worked. It is made up in contrast color and has a slightly narrower circumference to allow the collar to properly surround the neck without sagging.

25 sts x 30 rows in colorwork, in the round and after blocking with 3,5 mm / US 4 needle.

Le col est tricoté en rond, tel un long tube puis plié en deux afin de créer un col double face, chaud et qui tient bien autour du cou. Après un montage provisoire des mailles, on tricote le jacquard de la face extérieure. Puis dans la continuité et d’une même pièce, la face intérieure est tricotée dans une couleur contrastée (ou pas, libre choix à vous de la personnaliser). Sa circonférence est légèrement plus étroite afin de permettre au col d’entourer correctement le cou sans s’affaisser. Cette construction donne de jolies finitions, puisque les fils tendus du jacquard ne sont pas visibles, cachés à l’intérieur. Une fois le “tube” terminé, il est replié vers l’intérieur et les mailles de montage et celles du dernier rang sont cousues ensemble par un grafting.
