Amish Baby Stockings
Traditional Amish stockings for a layette knit in a lace pattern with a scallop border. Fine three ply lt. fingering wt. wool is used, in one color or two.
Note: The original pattern appeared with several others in a very nice article about knitting traditional (folk) stockings by Lizbeth Upitis. Mary Miller is listed as the knitter, but she is listed as the designer in the Knitter’s Index.
newborn to 6 month, 6-12 month sizes
