Amilishly Dolls Akiko
Amilishly Dolls Akiko is the first pattern you’ll come across in the book Amilishly Dolls. Akiko measures about 21,5 cm’s when I crochet her with a 2.0mm hook. When you go up a hooksize, she might be bigger, but proportions remain intact. This means gauge isn’t important.
This pattern is currently available in DUTCH for the printed book. Information about the US English version for this book will be available at a later time.
Fairy Kei doll Akiko is a crocheted doll with attached and removable clothing. This pattern includes the doll with her dress, shoes and cardigan. She is made seamless, so no seaming parts afterwards.
Yarn:
- Yarn and Colors Must-Have in different colors for the doll and clothes: Colors are Pearl, Lavender, Green Ice, Pastel Pink, Lettuce, White;
- Scheepjes Maxi Sweet Treat in white for the lace details.
Hook:
This doll is crocheted with a 2.0mm hook and the suggested yarn above. It’s important to crochet tight enough, since you don’t want the fibrefill to show. Also don’t crochet to tightly it’ll be a strain on your wrists. If you crochet loosely, please go down a size. If you crochet tightly go up a size. The proportions of this girl stay intact.
Gauge
In single crochet: 17 sc x 17 rows measures 5x5 cm, using Must Have and a 2.0mm hook.
Gauge, however is not important for this pattern. Different hooks and different yarn give you a different size for your doll, but the proportions stay intact.
Notions
Needle for weaving ends, scissors, fibrefill, stitchmarker.
