La Sirenita
I design and make toys at my children’s request!, my girls have little bath mermaid toys and they love them, they play with them all the time and now they been asking for a mermaid dolly!. So here she is!, hope you enjoy making her.
This doll is quite easy to make even the fin is quite straight forward, I will say it is for an advance beginner.

Materials and notions:
50 gr of dk cotton yarn in blue, flesh colour, and a few yards of another two tones of blue and white for the fin.
I used Anchor artiste metallic for the glittery strands of hair.
50 gr of Bulky yarn in off white for the hair cap and hair
Size hook (3 mm), normally you would work this yarn with a G (4mm) hook, but I want for the fabric of the doll to be quite dense.
Size hook H (5 mm) for the bulky yarn.
Black and red embroidery floss for the eye lashes and mouth.
5.5 inches of velvet ribbon in blue and the same amount of silver sequins strand
two 8mm safety eyes
Toy stuffing
Tapestry needle
