Amaryllis Mittens
It’s here! The final design in the Year of Gifts! And what a year it has been! We had no idea what we were all in for at the beginning of 2020, and - like so many - are happy to be closing the door on this tumultuous year. The December patter for the Year of Gifts is a pair of cosy textured mittens knit in a soon-to-be released yarn from Kelbourne Woolens, Camper. The official release will be March of 2020, but we chose Camper for this month’s design as a special bonus and thank you to everyone who has supported Kelbourne Woolens throughout 2020.
The Amaryllis Mittens are knit flat in pieces and then joined at the slipped stitch edge using a single crochet chain. This construction creates a firm, secure accessory designed to last.
In conjunction with the release of the design, we are offering limited kits that include 2 skeins of Camper in Orchid Heather, Year of Gifts stickers, a 2.5 or 3 mm crochet hook, leather tag, and a postcard with a code to download the pattern for free. Find the kit on our site here or ask for it at your favorite LYS!
