…designed for the Stitch ‘n Bitch weekend in Amsterdam?
(I will be in Amsterdam from april 22nd to april 24th for a knitting retreat with all my lovely Paris ladies (ladies! I can hardly wait to meet you!) same as for the Paris shawl the goal was to design something we could knit within this weekend while giggling, babbling and having a glass of wine (or even two….hahaha)) and to keep a ‘theme’ for our weekend shawls…here we are:
Always Amsterdam…is worked flat from the upper left tip towards the right edge. Its asymmetrical triangle shape is achieved by working simple increases at the end of each RS row.
This shawl is easy to adjust to your liking (or the yarn amount you have on hand)….after finishing Lace pattern set-up and Garter stripe 1, add more or less rows to the Lace pattern stripes (make sure to work multiple repeats of rows 1 to 4 plus rows 1 + 2), or to the Garter/Lace pattern stripes (make sure to work an odd number of repeats)…it’s all up to you ;)
