Alpine Hues is a top down textured raglan top with a beautiful wavy rib stitch in the body and cozy garter in the sleeves. It’s a fully charted & written pattern with video tutorials as well. It’s an interesting construction because half the yoke is knit flat, then you join in the round and knit the rest of the sweater in the round.

I recommend you have some experience reading charts or reading your knitting to make the yoke increase sections easier. The yoke is knit flat and joined after a few inches, the rest of the sweater is knit in the round. The neckline is picked up and knit last. It features an all over texture in the body and a garter texture in the sleeves that you have to keep track of both stitch patterns. This pattern is FULLY CHARTED to make that much easier.

NEEDLES

• Gauge: US 6 {4.00 mm} 16” {40 cm} & 32″ {80 cm} circular needles. Or size needed to match gauge.
• Rib: 2 sizes {1 mm} smaller than gauge needles in the same cord lengths. Sample uses US 4 {3.5 mm}.

GAUGE
Wavy Rib - Worked in the Round
22 sts / 30 rounds = 4″ {10 cm}.
This is the more important gauge to match because it determines the bust/body size.
