Alpine Frost Cowl
This lovely light-as-a-feather cowl is worked in squishy targhee. The name, “Alpine Frost,” comes from the frost that often appeared on my windows when I lived in Cordova, Alaska. I’m now a little further south in Juneau, and we rarely get frosty windows, but we do get amazing geometric snow formations on trees and branches. This cowl is based on the Alpine Frost Scarf, originally created for Interweave Crochet. A bit of magical transformation and careful planning allows the beautiful pattern to exist in the round, and the stitch lends itself perfectly to the new yarn. It would work fine in almost any lace-weight yarn.
