Along The Thames
Along The Thames is a stranded color-work cowl designed in collaboration with Beautiful Knitters yarn shop in London and is now available as an individual download.
The cowl uses 2 contrasting colors of Nua Sport and starts with a special cast on creating a minimal contrast edge followed by ribbing, a simple color-work section, top ribbing and a similarly minimal contrast bind off. Special, but easy instructions are given for the cast on and bind off edges. The color-work is charted only but is suitable for the novice stranded color-work knitter with no long floats.
Available in 2 sizes, it is easily customizable and directions to customize are given in the pattern. Please note that customization will affect yardage requirements.
Two skeins of Nua will make 2 small cowls in opposing colors or one large cowl. Note, the large cowl used almost all of the main color. Consider buying a second skein or reversing the colors in the top ribbing.
