Alocasia is a slightly batwing pullover worked in one piece from the top down with modified drop shoulders with a double v-neck in the back and the front.
The neckline is highlighted by a band of crossed stitches which extends down the center front of the pullover. An i-cord edging gives the neckline a polished look.

To offer all the lovely details of the Alocasia pullover to those who do not want to wear a V-neck in the back, I have come up with a variation with a round back neckline.

Approx. (900, 1020) 1140, 1260 (1380, 1500) meters/(980, 1110) 1240, 1370 (1500, 1640) yards of solid or semi-solid fingering weight yarn. The sample was knit with a 100 % merino fingering weight yarn (400 m 440 yds per 100 g skein)

Needles
3.5 mm/US size 4 (80 cm/32 ins minimum) circular needle or size needed to obtain the correct gauge for the body and the sleeves
3 mm/US size 2 needles for the lower edge ribbing of body and sleeves

Crochet hook similar to larger needle size

Stitch holders and waste yarn (a smooth yarn for the crochet provisional CO)

Gauge
26 stitches and 34 rows = 10 cm in stockinette stitch on the larger needles, after blocking
