“This design takes traditional Fair Isle motifs of snowflakes and flowers with narrow bands of deep reds, pinks and grey-green to give the feel of frosty plants on a winter’s morning,” explains Mary Henderson. “It’s an easy-fitting, long waistcoat with deep armholes for layering over blouses or dresses. The front band is worked with a middle eyelet row so that the buttons can be attached according to your preference.”
