All the Sais Brioche Cowl
This is a good project for those who are comfortable with plain brioche rib and would like to try two colour brioche in the round.
DIMENSIONS
Finished cowl measures about 27cm/10.75in wide and 142cm/56in in circumference.
YARN
Sport weight wool, cashmere-wool blend, or acrylic in two strongly contrasting colours.
Colour A – 150g, 450m/492 yards
Colour B – 150g, 450m/492 yards
NEEDLES AND NOTIONS
3.5mm/US size 4 circular knitting needles
1 stitch marker
Cable needle or stitch holder
GAUGE
19 st and 48 rows to 10 cm or 4 inches square in brioche stitch. (Note: 48 rows are worked over 10 cm, but as brioche is double-layered, it resembles 24 rows from the front of the work.)
DIFFICULTY
Ambitious intermediate. Techniques include long tail cast-on, brioche 4 stitch increase, brioche 4 stitch decrease, and Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-off.
