Akvamarin, known as Aquamarine in English, is a charted design element which can be used in conjuction with pattern instructions from Bohus Stickning på nytt The Revival. Charts have been published for both a top down yoked sweater or a sweater with shawl collar. It was designed by Kerstin Olsson for Bohus Stickning some time in 1963. A photo of two original pattern cards were published by the Bohuslan Museum in their digital collection in late 2024. It is referenced in Bohus Stickning på nytt The Revival on p. 146 as design 1103 from 1963. The pattern reference in the book and on the pattern card describe the pattern as being made from the Bohus Stickning angora merino yarn.

All the colours included in this design have been officially recreated.

Links to the Bohuslan Museum’s collection for the design are included below. Please be mindful of the terms of the Museum’s licence and be considerate when using items from their collection.
